From little to no capital investment, small changes to your business practices, procurement and purchases can result in large savings in energy consumption. Find out how behaviour change policies, monitoring of use and small capital investments into energy efficient measures can save you money – and also what local support and grant funding is available to SMEs in Gloucestershire to implement exciting new energy saving technologies.

Speaker: Matthew Thompson

Matthew Thompson has over 5 years’ experience working in various roles relating to the environment, sustainability and energy efficiency. His most recent role involved project managing a £2.5million government-backed insulation programme in Surrey which provided grant funding to over 460 eligible households, as well the successful delivery of other local energy-related projects. His current role as Business Energy Adviser at Severn Wye Energy Agency involves surveying locally-based businesses, analysing their energy use and formulating an action plan with energy saving solutions. Severn Wye Energy Agency is a not for profit energy efficiency education charity. Currently they are offering grants of up to £20,000 and 5 days energy efficiency consultancy support to small and medium sized businesses in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) backed Target 2020 programme.
