FUNDING FOR SKILLS TRAINING
Cheltenham-based companies can now make use of a skills development fund that will enable them to train their staff in vital business skills, completely free of charge. The fund, which is available at Gloucestershire Enterprise Ltd, is only for companies in the Retail, Leisure & Tourism and Manufacturing/Engineering sectors, who employ less than 250 staff and who have not received significant funding in the last three years.
Using the funds, staff will be able to undertake a range of short training courses in areas such as leadership and management development, coaching skills, business skills, sales training, IT skills training and more, and all without cost. Kevin Holt, Managing Director at GEL, said: ‘This is a truly flexible fund that is well overdue in the county because it enables us to work with companies and look closely at their training needs, it has no limits on how many people in the company can be trained, and there are no barriers of cost to contend with’.
This is a popular scheme and funds are being allocated quickly, so call GEL on 0845 838 9963 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask about ESF funding. We’ll check your eligibility and arrange a meeting to see how you would like to use the funds.
