NEW PARTNER ANNOUNCED AT WYNNE-JONES

London, 19 January 2016, Wynne-Jones, one of the UK’s leading and most dynamic Intellectual Property (IP) firms, has announced Vicki Strachan as its newest Partner. Vicki specialises in analogue and digital electronic devices covering medical devices, digital and data communications, telecommunications and software based inventions.

Vicki, who is based in the firm’s Cheltenham office, has a broad range of experience, having acted for a broad spectrum of clients including multinationals, universities and SME’s in the UK and overseas. Her experience includes representing clients at Opposition and Appeal hearings at the European Patent Office.

Vicki has an up-to-date and extensive knowledge of the latest case law in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa, with particular emphasis on patentability, including computer related inventions, business methods and methods of treatment.

“I have worked at Wynne-Jones for over two years now and have enjoyed working with such hard working professionals,” began Vicki. “I am delighted to be named Partner in such a dynamic firm, and look forward to continuing my career with Wynne-Jones”

Vicki’s previous roles include a patent examiner at the UK Patent Office as well as Partner at a large UK IP firm, before starting her own business. Vicki joined Wynne-Jones back in 2013, following a career break, during which she completed a PGCE qualification and worked as a curriculum leader in the engineering department at Gloucestershire College, lecturing in engineering at HNC, HND and foundation degree levels.

“I am confident that Vicki’s knowledge and experience will further strengthen our excellent team and help us continue to provide a high quality service for all our clients, protecting their intellectual property,” concluded Dr Ian Lambert, Partner and senior patent attorney at Wynne-Jones.
