A417 MISSING LINK INVITATION TO PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Letter from Highways England

You may be aware that Highways England has been investigating options for improving the A417 Missing Link, a three-mile stretch of single lane carriageway between the Brockworth bypass and Cowley roundabout. This is after the Department for Transport published its Road Investment Strategy 2015- 2020, an investment programme to tackle some of the worst road hot spots in the country. The A417 Missing Link was identified as one of the areas requiring improvement.

Over the last 18 months, we have been investigating possible route options to find a solution that will transform journey reliability, increase safety and unlock the economic potential for businesses and people in the area, while respecting and conserving the special character of the Cotswolds.

We are holding a public consultation between 15 February 2018 and 29 March 2018 and would like to hear your views on our proposals.

We are also holding a number of public exhibitions at the times and locations below, where you can view our consultation information and ask the project team questions:
