VINTAGE 1920S CHELTENHAM FILM AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS
A film gem was discovered several years ago of Cheltenham life in the 1920s and is now available on DVD for purchase through the Chamber offices. The film provides an historical perspective of Cheltenham life including the town areas, Montpellier Gardens, shopping centre, spas, schools, colleges and more.
The film was originally commissioned by the Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce with the objective of promoting the town and nearby Cotswolds. The original highly inflammable nitrate film was discovered several years ago when the Chamber moved offices. Copies were made to broadcast video tape by Brian Chaplin of Eurovideo.
The digital video is completely unedited so as to give the viewer a rare insight into Cheltenham's historic past. Copies of Cheltenham and the Glorious Cotswolds in the 1920s are available to members for £8 each from the Chamber office (t. 01242 252 626; firstname.lastname@example.org).
