Cleeve Vale Rotary
Dr Colin Prottey has been a member of Cleeve Vale Rotary Club for16 years.
This Rotary Club, founded in 1980, has been very active in raising of money (in excess of Â£750,000)
by running public events such as the Cheltenham Circular Challenge and the Classic Car Event at Prescott.
Current activities centre on a partnership with the South West Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust, the Rotary saving Lives Project, by which Heart Defibrillators have been installed in schools, colleges, clubs and semi-rural communities. This projects now involves other Rotary Clubs throughout Gloucestershire. Numerous other local charities related to Community Care and school are supported.
The club also has provided financial support for overseas communities in Africa and Asia, for Polio Elimination as well as Shelter Boxes.
