The Building Futures Job Fair offers Chamber members a valuable opportunity to connect with a large, diverse pool of job seekers, including refugees from Ukraine and other countries who are building their careers in the UK, alongside a wide range of local candidates (who make up the majority of attendees).
The event typically attracts 200+ job seekers from varied backgrounds. Over 1,000 refugees have been invited, many of whom have completed Gloucestershire’s 2024 STEP Programme and achieved Level 2 English. Refugee candidates often bring strong skills, resilience, adaptability and a genuine commitment to work, making them highly attractive employees, particularly for entry-level roles with progression.
