Chamber Projects
Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce has spearheaded a number of different projects throughout the local area and with some trusted partners we are currently working on a number of exciting initiatives.
The Large Enterprise Action Group was the idea of Claire Thayers, following similar success within Cornwall Chamber of Commerce when she was based there. The concept is simple – every six months large enterprises get together and discuss the key topics that are affecting their businesses with Board Members of Cheltenham Chamber. Over nibbles and a drink the Board and there to listen and learn. If action can be taken, then the Chamber will do what they can to support the large businesses within Cheltenham.
Currently, we’ve taken comments on recruitment and education and are working towards an Education and Business Strategy that will enhance the support businesses can give to education locally. If you’d like to know more contact lindseyholland@cheltenhamchamber.org.uk.
Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Small Businesses and Cirencester Chamber of Commerce (and now others) are working together to create a unique system that will enhance the way purchasing is completed across Gloucestershire. The aim is to build an ethical and reliable local supply chain: providing jobs for more local people, putting cash into the local economy, reducing the length of supply chains, and investing in the local economy. Naturally, it’s easier said than done and there are two groups now working under a steering group to work through the issues that are causing barriers.

Opposite, you can see just some of the ways we support our Members’ interests.
Business Membership starts from just £8 a month (with special rates for charities)
It is a not-for-profit organisation run almost entirely by volunteers
We have been a member for some time now, and our digital marketing agency Utterly Digital has benefited from said membership greatly. The staff are always on hand to help where they can and there is a huge number of very useful networking and training events put on throughout the year. We would recommend joining without hesitation.
