Golden Valley development takes big steps forward

First, Cheltenham Borough Council have secured £20 in Levelling Up funding to kickstart the National Cyber Innovation Centre which will be at the heart of this billion pound development. Scheduled to open in late 2026, the centre will be a home for the UK’s cyber, digital and creative sectors, and help to bring businesses, education and communities together.

Second, development partner HBD have appointed award winning architects Sheppard Robson to the second phase of the scheme. They will be responsible for the design of the next two buildings working alongside Innovation Centre architect BDP.

Golden Valley will deliver 1million sq ft of commercial space designed to highest sustainability standards and expected to create 12,000 new jobs. The masterplan also includes the development of 1,067 low carbon homes nestled within green space and with various community services and amenities.
