Two Opportunities To Help Local Children Who May Be Struggling

Over the next few months NCLB has a number of opportunities coming up that your organisation may like to get involved with:
NCLB Enrichment Grant Fund
Your organisation can apply for up to £500 for either an enrichment project within your school or for an individual child to access enrichment opportunities.
The fund is aimed at helping children and young people of school age (4-18) who meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Are persistently absent or at risk of persistent absence from school or other educational
setting (less than 85% attendance)
• Have special educational needs (SEND)
• Exhibit disruptive behaviour in the education environment that make them at risk of
exclusion

Applications are assessed every two weeks and once the funding is all allocated the grant pot will close.  So, to avoid missing out it is important to get your applications in as soon as possible.

Community Changemakers
As part of the No Child Left Behind Year of Youth Action 2025, we are running Community Changemakers.  Any organisation that works with children and/or young people can take part.  All you need to do to be part of Community Changemakers is get together a group of children and/or young people who want to make a difference in their community then:
1) Choose a topic they are passionate about e.g. safer journeys to and from school, better public spaces for young people or making their area more inclusive.
2) Let us know your plans by filling out the Community Changemaker form.
3) We will then help you with your project by finding an expert/s to support your plans and using the wider NCLB network to try to help your children and/or young people make their project a reality.
4) We will also invite your group to share your project with other children and young people at a special event. (more details to follow)
