Who would have believed at the turn of the year a chain of events emanating from China would affect so many countries and their communities? Without doubt, every business has been touched in one way or another and we find ourselves needing to take the most challenging actions as a matter of survival.
It is difficult for us all at this moment in time and there is insufficient light at the end of the tunnel. But it will come and I wish all business people in our community every success in finding their way forward.
To assist those in our business community, whether a member or not, the Chamber has extended its open hours from 9am to 5pm, Mon – Fri and would be pleased to give whatever support and guidance required to the resources being provided by central and local governments.
Meanwhile, it is hoped that the banks and financial institutions, like the Government, will provide the necessary funding which will assist us in seeing through these challenging times.
Most importantly, we hope that all of us adhere to the government’s COVID 19 guidelines and do everything we can to support the brave and life-saving work of the doctors, nurses and medical support staff of our precious NHS.
With very best wishes to everyone.
