Gloucestershire law firm Willans LLP has secured Lexcel accreditation for the 12th year running.
The Law Society’s hallmark of excellence, Lexcel is an independent mark of quality awarded only to practices that meet rigorous standards of client care, practice management and compliance.
Willans is one of a handful of Gloucestershire-based firms to be accredited, and one of just 4 firms in the county to have held the accreditation for more than a decade.
Managing partner Bridget Redmond, who has been part of the Cheltenham-headquartered firm for more than 15 years, said: “There are so many contributing factors involved in delivering the ‘end product’ of quality, timely legal advice to clients. That drive for quality has to run throughout our firm.
“The Lexcel accreditation for a 12th year running is a great confirmation that we’re keeping pace with the ever-changing market and demonstrating all-round good practice.
“Our assessor highlighted the ‘family feel’ and ‘supportive working environment’ of the firm, which is something we strive to cultivate. Our Green Willans firmwide initiative (which aims to bring carbon footprint reduction into the forefront of our minds) was also picked out as an example of good practice – we’re pleased to see staff and partners so engaged in this”.
Just over 15% of law firms across England & Wales have been awarded the accreditation, which requires yearly objective assessment to ensure practice management, client care and risk management standards are upheld to the highest standard.
Willans offers legal advice to businesses, private individuals and not-for-profit organisations based nationally and internationally. The firm has recently celebrated two of it’s lawyers securing rankings in Chambers High Net Worth – a prestigious guide to the best professional advisers to affluent individuals and their families.
