Neptune Apartments launches with 12 new luxury apartments in Cheltenham

Neptune Apartments, a new provider of luxury apartments, has been launched in The Promenade, Cheltenham by local property developer and entrepreneur Jim Hawtin. There are 12 apartments in 47-49 The Promenade in a newly refurbished, listed building. All the apartments have been furnished and decorated to a very high specification and are named after well known Cotswold locations. The apartments have been designed with both leisure breaks and business stays in mind.

Jim Hawtin commented on the launch:

“I am absolutely delighted to have overseen this transformation of the building into 12 luxury, bespoke apartments. I have lived in Cheltenham all my life so I am very aware of the many attractions of the town and I hope that with Neptune Apartments we are adding something unique to the already rich mix of places to stay”.

The inspiration for the name Neptune Apartments comes from The Neptune Fountain just a couple of hundred metres from the doors to the apartments. The fountain is a monumental, statuesque piece depicting Greek god Neptune in a shell-chariot, being drawn by four sea-horses and is reputed to have been modelled on the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy.

With accommodation over four floors, every Neptune Apartment is different, but they all offer the very latest in comfort and technology. Each of the apartments benefits from a keyless entry system operated by phone or keypad. To ensure guests feel safe, all apartments are equipped with an intercom system and cameras, so guests can check who is at the front door.

Every apartment has underfloor heating, WiFi, smart televisions and luxury bedding, with a choice of goose feather or anti-allergy pillows. For eating in, relaxing mornings and chilled evenings, apartments come equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, wine glasses, fridges and cooking equipment. Several of the apartments come with stunning views of the Promenade or Royal Crescent and some have spaces to work.

Neptune Apartments are firm believers in using local suppliers wherever possible and the project team for the transformation, refurbishment and fit out is ample evidence of this. The main contractors and project managers were Terrascapes from Stroud. The interior design was done by Furnish and the electrical contractors were JSE Group, both businesses also based in Stroud. Skin and hygiene products for the rooms are provided by ANI from Cirencester and the apartments will be cleaned by Cheltenham Bright & Beautiful Cleaning Company.

Neptune Apartments have already signed up to be members of Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce and Gold Members of Visit Cheltenham.

Neptune Apartments, as a new provider of accommodation, do have some availability for Cheltenham race week. They will also be offering special rates for longer term business stays and group bookings. Stays at Neptune Apartments are for a minimum of three nights, adults only and a maximum of two people per room.

Jim Hawtin concluded by commenting:

“We have been really pleased with the initial reaction to the apartments and the level of interest shown. It proves what we had anticipated – that there was a gap for a distinctive, high-quality provider of apartments in a fantastic location”.
