Why?
Many people feel confused and overwhelmed in the face of climate change. Inaction from governments and corporations can make people feel they cannot make a difference. But we can’t wait and by supporting this project you are becoming part of the solution in our town.
Many, including the UN IPCC, believe that grassroots community climate action is a critical catalyst for change.
The hub will be a space to find out about climate solutions, try new things, build community resilience and simply do things that make a difference. It will host workshops, skills shares, repair classes, arts, a youth climate club and more.
Planning permission is in place, and thanks to the Borough and County Councils, local trusts and some generous individuals it is over halfway to raising funds to convert a disused workshop building in St Paul’s.
