Rob Stemp co-founded cyber security specialists Red Maple and also Cynam, an important business network for the local cyber community.
We are delighted that he has been appointed to the new Economic Growth Board. This will replace the GFirst LEP Board, after the transfer of its responsibilities to Gloucestershire County Council.
The Board will give local businesses a strong independent voice in the formulation of local economic policy. It will have economic oversight of the Growth Hub network, inward investment, the sector specific business groups and the food and drink initiative, Made in Gloucestershire.
We are also pleased to see members Hazlewoods, the Borough Council, the University and College as well as regular event partners Business West and FSB represented.
The new board members are;

- Cllr. David Gray – Gloucestershire County Council
- Clare Marchant Vice Chancellor, University of Gloucestershire
- Matthew Burgess Principal and Chief Executive, Gloucestershire College
- Sam Holliday Development Manager (Gloucestershire and the West of England) Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)
- Nicola Bird – Managing Director of the AccXel Centre
- Ian Mean Director of Business West
- Lucy Ackland Senior Development Engineer, Renishaw
- Ruth Dooley Partner at Hazlewoods
- Rob Stemp CEO, Red Maple Technologies
- Alex Rose Managing Director, Beards Jewellers/Chair of Cheltenham BID
- Cllr. Rowena Hay – Leader of Cheltenham Borough Council
