All rise for Crowe’s annual Law Firm Benchmarking survey

Midlands law firms have just two weeks remaining to take part in one of the sector’s key insights into the financial health of the legal industry.

The annual Law Firm Benchmarking survey organised by audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm Crowe closes on Friday 31 July and all law firms are urged to take part.

Sue Daye, partner in the Cheltenham office of Crowe, said: “Our annual Law Firm Benchmarking Report provides crucial insights into the financial health of the legal industry, and underscores the key challenges faced by law firms and their leaders.

“This year, the survey has been streamlined into a single, concise questionnaire making it quicker and easier to take part, while still capturing the key data needed for meaningful, high‑quality analysis.

“By participating, you’ll gain access to a comprehensive benchmarking report, enabling you to compare your firm’s performance against peers and identify opportunities to enhance profitability, efficiency and long‑term growth.”

New areas and issues addressed in the 2026 survey including firms’ attitudes to outsourcing and pay intentions.

Private equity participation in the legal sector and the impact and implications for law firms is also surveyed for the first time.

The survey is open until Friday 31 July and can be viewed at https://www.crowe.com/uk/insights/law-firm-benchmarking-take-part
