Throughout April, local solicitors will be donating time and expertise to support medical charity Cobalt. For those who have making or updating a will on their to-do list, Cobalt’s Make a Will month may be just what is needed.
Solicitors will write or update straightforward wills in return for a donation to the charity. The suggested minimum donation is £150 for a single will and £200 for joint mirror wills (this is a fraction of what you would ordinarily pay for the same service).
Making a will through this scheme is a wonderful way to not only be able to tick something off your ‘to do’ list but also save money and support Cobalt; every penny of the donations made through this scheme comes to the charity.
Simon Cook, Head of wills, trusts and probate team, Willans LLP solicitors said:

Whilst there is no obligation to include Cobalt as a beneficiary in a Will made through this scheme, gifts in Wills provide a vital source of income to Cobalt.
