Overview:

The Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce has been serving and supporting local businesses for over 100 years.  We are a not-for-profit business organisation run by a group of dedicated members who volunteer to serve on the Executive Board. We have an eclectic mix of skills and expertise, but the one thing that unites us is our passion to make Cheltenham and the surrounding areas the place to do business in the Southwest.  We are currently looking for three volunteers to join the Executive Committee.  If you’re interested in supporting the Chamber in one of these roles, please get in touch.  If you have other skills you would like to offer, we’d be keen to hear from you!

New Member Executive 

The New Member Executive will focus entirely on encouraging new members to join the Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce by attending local online and in-person events.  You’ll be attending a number of events each week (consisting of breakfast, lunch or evenings, some will be in-person events, some will be virtual), representing the Chamber at these events, and be able to talk clearly about the benefits of joining the Chamber.  We’re looking for someone who has the time and ability to attend a number of events each week, and who has a desire to help the business community in Cheltenham, supporting the aims of the Chamber of Commerce.

Customer Success Executive 

If you enjoy speaking to businesses, and you have an interest in the business community, this could be the role for you! We’re looking for someone to keep in touch with existing Members, listen to their needs and provide interesting and relevant updates.  You’ll be required to call approximately 5 Members a week.  We’re looking for a great listener and someone who can connect the right information with the right Members at the right time.  You’ll ensure that any actionable feedback and insight is shared with the wider Executive.

Renewal Executive 

The Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce exists to support hundreds of local businesses.  We’re looking for a tenacious individual to contact lapsed Chamber Members to encourage renewal of their membership.  This is an important role within the Chamber.  You’ll be required to contact a number of former Chamber Members each week, using a combination of channels.  You’ll have a methodical approach, be confident in approaching businesses and be able to identify quickly the core messages and features of the Chamber to use in your conversations.
