Chamber Secretary Pauline Harris Retires

Chamber Secretary Pauline Harris Retires After 14 Years of Service

Pauline Harris retired from her position with the Chamber on 25th September, after 14 years of dedicated and loyal service to our members. Chief Executive, Michael Ratcliffe (l), and Deputy Chief Executive, Jonathan Leamon (r), presented an engraved vase in recognition of her excellent support, and both wished her well for a long and happy retirement.

Jon Leamon, who worked closely with Pauline, said “Pauline was very dedicated and a great asset to the Chamber. She was always available during or outside of her working hours and would take on all tasks immediately. Nothing was too much for her.”

Former Cheltenham Borough Councilor and Chamber Executive Board Member Jacky Fletcher added, “Pauline was a wonderful ambassador for the Chamber and a welcoming voice at the end of the phone”.

Chamber CEO Michael Ratcliffe summarised the importance of Pauline’s work with Chamber members. ” Pauline’s dedication to our members was consistently highlighted in her care and attention to detail.”

Chamber Vice President Dan Harris echoed the earlier sentiments.”Pauline’s work has been a mainstay of the Chamber’s administration and operations. She kept things ticking over and made sure we put our best foot forward. I admired her hard work and determination to get the job done. She’ll be much missed.” Dan added, “we also want to salute the valuable work of Rod Harris, Pauline’s husband, who helped with our membership and plugged a lot of gaps, all as a volunteer over many years. We can’t thank him enough for being so generous with his time and efforts on behalf of the Chamber.”

Michael Ratcliffe concluded, “on behalf of the Chamber Executive and our members, we’d like to say a big ‘Thank You’, to Pauline and Rod for their great service to the Chamber and Cheltenham”.
